MPHCA 28th Annual Conference (ATTENDEES REGISTRATION)

The Mississippi Primary Health Care Association (MPHCA) will conduct its 28th Annual Conference June 10-12, 2015 at the Hollywood Casino and Conference Center located at 711 Hollywood Blvd, Bay St. Louis, Mississippi 39520.  MPHCA expects to welcome almost 300 attendees, speakers, vendors and guests to the conference which will feature a broad array of workshops designed to inform and educate as well as prepare Community Health Center (CHC) staff to meet the challenge of providing access for all in need of quality healthcare services.  We hope you will join us as we convene our 28th Annual Conference and observe our conference theme, “Celebrating Our Legacy & Shaping Our Future".

MPHCA’s board of directors and staff are very proud of our legacy and join with the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) in marking this, the 50th Anniversary Year of the Community Health Center Program. MPHCA is very proud that the CHC Movement began right here at home with the fight for health equity and social justice and with the establishment of the nation’s first rural Community Health Center, Delta Health Center, which is still located in and serving the folks in Mound Bayou and the surrounding areas of the Mississippi Delta.

Today, 21 CHCs operate more than 170 delivery sites across the state providing comprehensive, primary care services to almost 300,000 folks, accounting for almost 1 million visits, annually. Over the past 50 years, the Health Centers Program has grown into the nation’s largest primary care network consisting of more than 1,200 health centers delivering care through over 9,000 delivery sites in every state and territory. This is a historic time for America’s and Mississippi’s health centers as we continue the fight for access and stake out a new claim of leadership to set the standard for the primary care medical home of the future. Our enduring aim is to ensure that the health center mission, not only survives but thrives well into the future. Again, MPHCA welcomes your participation in our conference during this historic and jubilant time and thanks you for your continued support of health centers!

Target Audience:  As always, participation of staff and board members from every CHC contributes to a successful annual conference.  However, the target audience that will benefit also includes: clinical, management, administrative, support staffs, and board members of both public and private healthcare providers; members of boards of health-related organizations; federal, state and local officials; social workers; and staff of organizations providing healthcare services indirectly; and persons interested in making basic healthcare services available and accessible to all Mississippians.
