UMHC Patient Financial Assistance Policy 2011
As part of its mission, the University of Mississippi Health Care (UMHC) provides care for residents of Mississippi who are uninsured or underinsured and do not have the ability to pay for medically necessary health care services. The purpose of this policy is to use financial assistance resources available to UMHC to maximize the availability of health care services to the people of Mississippi in a consistent, equitable and effective manner. This policy does not affect or limit UMHC’s dedication and obligation under EMTALA to treat patients with emergency medical conditions. Click here to view more information.
